To check if the card belongs to the customer you need to:
- Receive a banking card and client’s ID papers from the client
- The card can be used only by a lawful cardholder, who’s name is embossed on the front side of the card (except for non-personalized cards Visa Instant Issuer and MasterCard Electronic) and signature sample is located at the back side of the card, on special signature stripe. If the card is not signed, ask the customer to sign it in your presence and check the signature against customer’s ID papers. If the customer refuses to sign, you should refuse the service to the client. In case the name on the front side of the card is different from the name in client’s ID card/ Passport or if the client looks different from the photo on ID card/Passport then you should refuse the service to the client.
- If checking is successful, proceed with transaction.
